Quitting Smoking:The Aftermath Don'ts

In my last post, I was actually bothering on things you can't comfortably do as a result of smoking and the money that goes out of your pocket to the habit annually. OK, I'm writing this for those of you that have possibly succeeded in quitting smoking. "Bravo" and thank you very much for the effort. Lets look at some steps that can keep you on the safer side.


1. Be Mindful of Diet type

The kind of food you take aftermath of quitting smoking can make your success or rather send you back to the habit. Some kind of diet attracts smoking and can destroy every resistance you have. Try as much as possible to feed mainly on fruits at this time because fruits are naturally made chemicals that detoxifies the body and energize you then allows your  system to be cleansed from any toxins.

2. Drink Much Water

Now that you don't smoke any more, make sure you should always drink much water. This is because water is an antioxidant and can detoxifies your system and also energize you. Try as much as possible to drink up to about seven glasses of water daily.

3. Don't Sit Too Long After Meals

After meals don't sit too long, be active and rise up to a task. Smoking usually follows after meals, so you don't want to give in to this any longer then, before you start feeling like having a cigarette be pro-active. Because your body cells are starving hard for nicotine also, get something that you can just put in your mouth  like sweets or chewing gum.

4. Stay Away From Alcohol

You have decided to quit and nothing should make you go back to the habit of smoking  anymore. Alcohol and soft drinks attract smoking very much, so in order to resist it, stay off drinking for the time being and the only thing you should be drinking is water.

5. Do Much Of Exercise

Engage in exercise by registering with your local gym, you can also go to your local park or even in your house. You need much of exercise now because much smoke had been deposited inside your lungs for just too long that your lungs needed to be cleansed at this time and allowed for free breathing. As you quit smoking also quit smoking related chemicals.

6. Get Rid Of Anything Concerning Smoking

In your house, car and office, there could be empty packs of cigarettes ash rays and lighters. Discard these things as you have decided not to recognize them anymore so clear your house, cabin, car, office, drawer or anywhere else you have these things out completely.

7. Be Relationship Conscious

You have decided not to smoke and associate with anything that has to with smoking cigarette anymore so, you don't want to start making smokers your new friend. All you can do is to go closer to your friends that are not in the habit. Spend quality time with them share reasonable ideas together and try to be passionate about your new life style.

Do you know that the actual thing that is causing addiction in smoking is nicotine. Smokers not only become physically addicted to nicotine; they also link smoking with many social activities, making it extremely difficult to break free.
